| dc.description.abstract | The study delves into the intricate interplay between obesity and diabetes, examining how socioeconomic variables, specifically income and education, influence their prevalence patterns in Arkansas. It uncovers a significant difference in diabetes rates based on education level, but further data did not demonstrate a significant influence of income and education on obesity prevalence. These findings emphasize the need for targeted efforts to address health inequities associated with educational attainment. Policies should prioritize equitable access to healthcare resources and services while adopting comprehensive approaches covering management, early identification, and prevention. Future research should incorporate qualitative data, longitudinal analysis, and broader geographic comparisons to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics at play and guide focused actions to reduce health disparities and promote health equity. Additionally, exploring the influence of cultural factors, lifestyle choices, and healthcare access barriers could enrich the analysis and provide deeper insights into the complex relationship between socioeconomic status and health outcomes.
